Dear Parents/Guardians,
Teri Shultz has graciously offered to create an end of year slide show to show at the 5th Grade Celebration, which will be on the last day of school.
She is asking for you to send her a baby photo of your child and/or other photos of his/her experiences at Woodside. The photo can certainly include other 5th graders too. Please email these photos to [email protected].
Please let me know if you should have any questions.
Warmly,
The Fifth Grade Team

Dear Families,
We are five months into enVisionmath 2.0, our district-wide math program. Our most recent assessments are showing that our students are making great gains. In order to improve our students' learning flow in the day, we have decided to keep our homeroom students for mathematics instruction. This change will begin on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 as we introduce Topic 5. We believe this change will better meet the needs of individual students by providing fewer transitions and more flexibility within the homeroom schedule.
We have identified an additional “Target Time” in which students will receive individualized support such as reteaching of specific skills or enrichment as needed. This time aligns with our current supports with RTI, Sp.Ed. and GT. At the end of Topic 5 we will work to determine next steps by looking at student data, observational notes, and teacher/student feedback.
Thank you for all you do at home to support our children to be successful mathematicians, if you have any questions please feel free to contact anyone of us.
Sincerely,
The Fifth Grade Team
